A family survivor myself, I am deeply grateful for the families and others responsible for the making of this important documentary that includes Canadian families also innocent victims of the violence against women plaguing the nation. Coming out the darkness and breaking the silence is the key in creating awareness and the first step in the long path of healing. Like so many of the family members who shared their painful experiences, in is through openness and humility that others will come to understand the urgency that we must stand united so that no other young girls and women, which also includes young boys and men, shall not meet the same circumstances. I would like to see this film be used in the educational system so our youth, whether at risk or not, learn first hand so that there be no more victims and families left behind to suffer and carry on without knowing why or who is responsible. When we stand together as family, we are mighty and we will make a brighter future for our 7th generations.
Thank you for your message Cheryl. We hope more people watch the documentary and that it is used as an educational tool. It's important that these stories aren't lost.
Wishing you all the best ~
